What better time to schedule a family photo session than while the grandparents are in town? I love, love, love capturing the incredible grandparent/grandchild bond, and this session was no different.
I especially loved the time we spent outside. These kids are full of joy, life, and energy, so the trampoline was the perfect place to start. Of course, big brother had to make sure the protective netting was zipped down for safety, but that was ok, because then I was forced a little farther away onto the deck, where I got some really awesome pictures of the family jumping together!
I’m so blessed to be invited into family activities, to photograph the love and fun that families share. And this family definitely is full of love. The big smiles each child wears is proof enough, and I watch the joy with which these grandparents interact with their grandkids, and I think how blessed these kids are to have parents and grandparents who love them so. And at the same time are not afraid to have some good, crazy fun!
I think it’s awesome that even though Daddy is a Marine and is often away, only he knows how to tighten Ethan’s shoes just right. I love these moments of dependence (even though, yes, it’s exhausting) because before you know it they are tying their own shoes and combing their own hair and *gasp!* driving their own cars.
Next, we headed inside, where the light coming in the sliding glass door was just perfect to capture some pictures of sweet baby Ella nestled up to Baba’s chest, and (of course) flying airplane style with Papa!
