I am following along over at Project.12 with a monthly session featuring my own family. The theme this month is “water,” and it was perfect because I’ve had this idea brewing to create some wall art for my bathroom featuring some timeless images of my little guy’s hands and feet. And, of course, some water. I wanted these images to be more than just art, though, because my real goal was to have these daily reminders of his sweet little fingers and toes that I love so much to hold and kiss! I know one day they will lose their baby chub and become strong and manly, but I will always remember them as they are today.
My original inspiration was to ONLY photograph his hands and feet, but I couldn’t help myself… and then this happened.
I love it so much I think I am just going to have to get a giant print for my walls… but I also love the rest of the session, so here it is! Enjoy!
Beautiful! Inspired to do this with my daughter! What lens did you use for the images of just his little hands?
I used the Canon 100mm f/2.8L for all of the images. It worked well since I wanted to get closeups of his hands inside, but stay out of the splash zone for the outdoor pictures 🙂
